Create your Substitute Teacher Profile and Navigate ClassCover
Sign up on the ClassCover app and set up your profile so schools can find and book you.

Before you Start
- Head to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and download the latest version of the ClassCover app.
- Use one personal email address that you will use for every school. Do not use a school or department email address.
- Substitute Teachers: have your Teaching Council registration number ready. You can sign up without it and add it later.
Create Your Account
1.Enter your email address, first name, last name, phone number and password.
2.Tick I agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, then click Signup.
3.Enter the 6 digit code sent to your email address, then click Verify.

Note:
- Your phone number country code is already set to +353.
- The second tick box, for news and updates from ClassCover, is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- The 6 digit code expires after 10 minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder. You can request a new code once the timer runs out.
Substitute Teachers
Substitute Teachers: Add Your Registration and Teaching Experience
4. Select your role type, click Continue.
5. Enter your Teaching Council registration number and Expiry date, then click Continue.
6. Select the year groups, years and subjects you are qualified to teach, then click Continue.
Note:
If you do not have your registration number yet, click I don't have my number yet, skip for now. You can add it later from your profile.
Important: Schools cannot see your profile until your Teaching Council registration number is on it. Add your number as soon as you have it.
7. You are all set to continue completing your profile set up, click Complete your profile.
4. Select your role type, click Continue.
5. Enter your Teaching Council registration number and Expiry date, then click Continue.
6. Select the year groups, years and subjects you are qualified to teach, then click Continue.
Note:
- Students who have not yet received their TCN can still sign up and add at a later date.
- Garda expiry date at step 5 is optional.
- Can't find your registration number? Click Find your number on teachingcouncil.ie.
- Schools filter on levels and subjects when they look for cover. At step 6, select every one you are qualified to teach.
- ClassCover records your registration details and shows them to the schools you work with. Each school confirms your vetting itself before it adds you to its list.

7. You are all set to continue completing your profile set up, click Complete your profile.
What Happens Next
You will be directed immediately into your ClassCover profile after clicking Complete profile.
- Set your availability so schools know when you are free.
- A school can invite you to its list, or you can send a school a request to join.
- A school confirms your vetting before it adds you to its list.
Navigate Your Profile
1. On My Profile page, you can add a photo, a video introduction (optional) and edit Personal information.
2. Add Employment summary, Work Experience, Skills & Attributes and other documentation to support schools when adding your profile to their list of teachers.

3. The bottom navigation is where you will find Calendar, booking Requests and Schools.
4. Select the top right hand menu to access Account & Settings.
5. Update Profile, access Email reminders, Booking notifications, Accessibility settings, Account settings and Password reset functions.
